UB The Judge

UB The Judge is a design competition like no other. Instead of emphasis on design, the competition focuses on the materials used to create a variety of print projects. Entries are exhibited at five major city events where those in attendance choose the Gold and Platinum winners. The winners are recognized in a nationally-distributed showbook, become a touring exhibit, and are featured on the Appleton Coated website.
UB The Judge reminds us about the importance of the written language and the materials that its written on. With a great focus on green design it raises awareness on the role and importance of the designer for a cleaner, healthier environment. With an emphasis on quality, the competition pushes the boundaries and limits of print, and gives motivation for the next big idea. And all the while, it stayed true to what it was about - a love affair for paper.
